Dear Supporters,
The production of the Saltire Collection is in full swing. Moulds for the cases and hands are ready, and physical production is starting this week. Seiko movements are on the way from Japan to the assembling factory.
Both aventurine and enamel dials have been produced and prepared for our artist, Guohao.
The most difficult and time-consuming stage, the hand painted watch dials, is now in progress.
Our great dial-artist, Guohao, has been painting Saltire cross-shaped Milky Ways across “starry” aventurine dials and white jet-streams on the sky blue enamel dials.
Each dial takes an extraordinary amount of work, which requires great concentration and precision. Only a handful dials can be completed each day. We cannot be happier about the way they are turning out.
The dials will be finished by the end of next week. They will be return to the dial factory for finishing and printing.
Next, the back plates of the watch cases will be engraved, the sapphire bezels mounted onto the cases.
All assembled watches will be ready to be sent to Scotland in the last week of June for quality control checks and final preparations.
Everyone that has ordered a Saltire will receive their watch(es) shortly after they clear customs and arrive in the SWC Edinburgh office.
Thank you all very much for your patience and we hope that you continue to have a great start to the summer.
If you have any questions, please send an email to hello@scotlandwatchco.scot
